Saturday Inspiration

Hiya Christine here,it's inspiration time again.
I decided to keep with the current challenge theme which is More Than One Fold .I am not sure what this type of card is called, but it was made from a single piece of A4 and I just trimmed it slightly to suit the topper. The image Country Border 1 - August's image of the month via Morgans Facebook group .I decided to do this one as it is so pretty and I know frames can be a bit off- putting so I have coloured it with Polychromos pencils. You could use a pre- coloured image or even a photo to pop into the middle but I chose to draw a simple scene to show you my take on it. I have extended it beyond the frame to add more interest too and put in a nice sentiment.
So don't be afraid of the frames as they can be really beautiful and a main feature on your card or scrapbook page.

Challenge #19 More Than One Fold

It is time to introduce you to another new Creative Team member. Please say hello to Line Dagestad Overby.
My name is Line and I am 41 years old. I live in Eidskog, a small municipality in Hedmark, Norway with my husband and 3 children. I started making cards in 2009, and since then it just escalated. I have a very versatile style, but I love coloring and using no less than three mediums - Distress, Promarkers and Prismacolor. I'm also very fond of 3D projects and mixed media but it is mostly cards that are made. I'm ecstatic to be a part of Morgan's ArtWorld's creative team where I can really challenge myself and my coloring.

Right now onto the challenge this fortnight and the theme is
More Than One Fold
And here are the amazing projects presented to you by Team A showcasing Morgan's images. For more information on any of the projects just click on the name to be taken to their personal blog.

Saturday Inspiration

Hiya Christine here with a new Saturday Inspiration for you.
Today I have gone with the current challenge theme for my project. I love using Kraft card. You see it on a lot of my cards, its natural and also it is environmentally friendly as its re -cycled, I used it for my background on my card and also as a mat behind it too. The image is from The Flights of Fantasy cd 2 from Crafter's Companion and is coloured with Polychromos Pencils and I thought she would be perfect for this wood grain background. It was so easy to do. I ran the card through a Sheena Douglas  embossing folder, then using ink pads, running them gently along the grain I built the colour up using three colours to achieve this effect. So you see a humble piece of card is not so humble anymore. You still have time to enter the current challenge
so go get you cards ready and come and join in ,we would love to see them:)xx

Saturday Inspiration

Hiya, Christine here with a new Saturday Inspiration for you.
This time I have used this fortnight's challenge theme, and have created a pretty tag. I always wondered when I first started crafting why there was a big thing on tags on various sites you can visit. I know now as now I have been after being  on deisgn teams for a number of years it is a lot easier to store a tag than it is to store a card. They are great not just for presents but you can also make stunning cards from then by just adding a bit of matting and layering to a card, and then adding the tag. After all we make them look so pretty when we make them, why not. if your really brave you can join them and make an accordion card,or even a small memory book for a special occasion too. So the humble tag is no longer the ugly duckling ,but the Beautiful Swan :)xx
